Biking in Spain // Picture Jasper & Moonstone
Come and share the adventure of my biking trip in Spain with me!
Have you ever done something crazy for love, especially in the beginning of a relationship? Well, when I first moved to France to be with Julien, I was 26 and had an adventurous heart, so I agreed to go on a 4 month bicycle and climbing trip to Spain. The only catch, is that I had never done a bicycle trip before, much less with a weighed down bike and even less riding uphill mountain roads to go to our climbing destinations. These memories have a LOT of sweat and tears in them, but they symbolize more than just hard times. These memories set a foundation that if we could get through 4 months of the most strenuous physical activity that I’ve ever done, looking for a camping spot every night and sleeping on a thin mattress next to someone who hasn’t showered in a week just to wake up a 7am and do it all over again, then we were capable of getting through SO much more in our life together.
Pendant Size: 2.675 x 1.625”
Item Details: This one of a kind artisan pendant features an absolutely stunning Picture Jasper stone whose details and lines are so intricate that it really does look like someone drew tiny rocks and mountains on the stone. I’ve used the natural details as the background for a steep mountain road with a tiny handcrafted bicycle making its way up the hill into the pine tree forest. At the top of the pendant you can find a yellow Rainbow Moonstone sun peeking out over the top of the mountains. This beautiful nature scene is encased in a handwoven copper wire frame that has been oxidized and polished. Comes on your choice length of antique copper chain.
Protective Lacquer: Due to the intricate details in the nature scene, these details will be coated with a protective lacquer finish to help keep them bright and shiny for as long as possible so there’s no risk damaging them while polishing your pendant. If you’d like, I can also coat the woven frame in the same protective finish. These types of lacquers may eventually wear off over time, but I will supply an abrasive polishing pad that you can use to polish the wire and remove the lacquer when the time arrives.
