To help maintain the luster and reduce polishing, you can choose to have a protective lacquer applied to your pendant. Please note that these types of lacquers may eventually wear off over time with excessive wear. Natural copper jewelry will develop a warm, rustic hue over time depending on the conditions it’s stored in. High heat and humidity will accelerate oxidation, but frequently wearing your pendant will slow it down by naturally polishing the metal.
